When it comes to school uniforms, finding the right fit is crucial, especially with so many clothing sizes available on the market. School uniform sizing is often different to that of standard children’s clothes, with uniform most often being measured in body measurements instead of ages. It’s usual to wish to get extra wear out of uniform by sizing up, allowing students to get a bit of extra wear out garments for longer as they grow.
All you need is a pen and paper – Basic measurements you should take:
- Chest (taken at the fullest part of the chest, under the arms)
- Waist (natural waist)
- Desired skirt length (if applicable)
- Inside leg measurement (for trousers)
- Sleeve length (for blazers)
- Desired length of blazer (if applicable)
